John hunter was born in the year 1737 in Leith, Scotland .hunter was the second captain of the Siriusand also the second governor of N.S.W.Hunter sailed with the First Fleet to find a good settlement.They thought of what Cook said about Botany Bay but they realized that botany bay hand hardly any freash water and strong eastern winds
