[edit] Kenneth Kendall and Angela Rippon: journalists?
became a presenter of the Nine O'Clock News in the early 1980s when it started to be presented by journalists, rather than the likes of Kenneth Kendall and Angela Rippon. (deletion by User:Pigsonthewing "Kendall and Rippon are both journalists")
If Kenneth Kendall or Angela Rippon were journalists there's no evidence of that at the respective articles. Flapdragon 22:03, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- Er, both their articles describe them as such. Andy Mabbett 22:05, 6 September 2005 (UTC)
- Thank you, I can see that. I was asking whether there was any evidence to back up that description. I see from the Web (but not Wikipedia) that Rippon did indeed do some journalism before becoming a newsreader, but in the case of Kendall the article specifically says he went straight from the army to newsreading -- which hardly makes him a journalist. [edit] Atheist?
He strikes me as more agnostic than atheist. -PinkEllie 11:43, 2 May 2007 (UTC)
I've heard somewhere that he has an organic smallholding in Wales. Has anyone seen any sources to support this?

In an exclusive interview with the Independent today, he is quoted as saying he is an agnostic, but one who use to be an atheist [1]

The BBC should come up with a photo for the him, just like Paxman & Rippon. He is as good in his way as them. Humphrys & Paxman are the main two newscasters in my mind - they are still going strong and doing Mastermind and University Challenge, respectively. John wasn't doing his 6am radio news this week, but he was on Desert Island Disks. Other good reporters are John Simpson, etc; but they are the active type. Humphrys did that in the beginning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.142.125.75 (talk) 15:43, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
