John played the organ during morning assembly at the Luton Grammar School for boys mid Sixties. His speciality was keying in disguised Beatles songs as the headmaster marched in to start proceedings. One of the better memories. I played a (poor) bassoon in the school orchestra. John was the one with the musical talent, and it's good he put it to good effect; Eddie Slack France
