[edit] Valedictorian

The previous text: "Although [his] family was not financially well off, he still became the valedictorian of his high school class." In my experience, attaining v. is a matter of the highest grade point average (GPA) in one's graduating class, not by any other criterion. If this was also true in Anderson's time, the $$ of his father's family should not have mattered. I am going to assume that is the case, and I am modifying the sentence accordingly. Does anybody have other facts on the matter?? Raymondwinn 11:37, 2 December 2007 (UTC)
