Originally a supporter of Captain Hugh Fitzroy (initial captain of the Beagle) and the theory of creationism, Wickham was ultimately intrigued by Darwin's idea of evolution. Towards the end of the voyage of the Beagle, Wickham began to accept the idea of evolution as true.

If this is true, we need a reliable source to back this up. An anonymous editor cited a DVD series, but this isn't verifiable. Can someone confirm this? Brisvegas 12:45, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
