Was Mary Hawtry his second wife? Is there a list of all his children? I ask because I am a direct descendant of John Bankes.
Ralph was born in 1631 when John was 42 which is why I believe she was a second wife.Perhaps he was married previously to a woman from a humbler station in life?--jeanne (talk) 17:29, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
