The picture of John Volpe is when he was in his vigor. Fits him as governor, and Secretary of Transportation. I did not see him in his last years years, when he was in his late 70s and early 80s.
I suggest that one should add to the bio that among the edifices that were named after him was the John A. Volpe International Terminal (opened in 1974), Terminal E, at the Logan International Airport in Boston MA.
One should also add a clarification that he was elected governor three times (1961, 1964 and and again in 1966 (for the first ever 4 year term of a governor in MA)). Most articles that pop up, and I think many use Wikipedia as reference, seem to show he was elected only twice.
I knew him well during his time in office(s), and before.

[edit] Correct picture?
Governor Volpe lived in my home town. Granted I never saw him beyond age 50 or so, but the picture in the article doesn't look like him, to me. I google-searched images too, and this doesn't look like his older pics either. Anyone? Sfahey 18:28, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

This picture is of Ambassador Volpe in his prime. There are pictures of him on the cover of Engineering News Record, as Man of the Year (Dec 1970) that is similar. On the book of his biography, John volpe The Life of An Immigrants's Son by Kathleen Kilgore, Yankee Books, 1987 is a picture of an older Amb. Volpe, with white hair but the rest is the same. Jacket Photo by Doug Mindell. Except for the last years of his life I saw him from time to time. He was my godfather.
