Talk:John A. Lejeune
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article ought to mention LeJeune's efforts as Commandant to transform the USMC into an Amphibious fighting force. The whole story about how he suspended all classes at Marine Corps Schools at Quantico in 1922 is missing. It ought to be here. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.64.0.252 (talk • contribs) 21:06 UTC, June 12, 2005
[edit] Pronunciation of surname
Since a comment on this has been added twice from the same IP address, I am addressing it here. I think most/all Marines pronounce General Lejeune's name in the same manner, allowing for regional accents. I take issue with "JERN" for second syllable. See LEJEUNE entry on this page for Acadian names. — ERcheck (talk) 18:06, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
