What's the source of "von" in "Johann Nepomuk von Hiedler"?

I suppose the correct name was "Johann von Nepomuk Hiedler". In this case the "von" would be normal part of his Christian name, because in my opinion he is named after the Catholic saint Johann von Nepomuk, also known as only Johann Nepomuk, the so-called "bridge saint".
