[edit] Which is the correct spelling?
What's the correct spelling of his name? Johann Vonlanthen is the spelling I've seen in newspapers etc and I created an article with that name. I then discovered the Johan Vonlanthen article and I see that's the spelling on the official Euro 2004 and PSV sites. I see the UEFA site has profiles for players with and without the second N. I've copied the text from this article since it was more detailed than mine. If anyone knows the correct spelling maybe one page should be set up to redirect to the other. --Andy Smith
I just took a look at the official site of the Swiss national football federation (www.football.ch). Though I don't really know any of the languages (it's in German, French, and Italian), I do know a few words of German, and I found a match report from Euro 2004 with Vonlanthen's name in it. They spell his first name "Johan". That makes three authoritative sites that use this spelling, including one from his own country. Dale Arnett 19:21, 24 Jun 2004 (UTC)
