Johnston Square is a public housing area in the eastern part of Baltimore, Maryland located east of Greenmount Avenue and west of the Oliver neighborhood. The neighborhood contains portions of the Baltimore City Correctional Facilities and its residents are mostly low income African-American families. The neighborhood is a crime prone region of East Baltimore and has been used as a filming location on the HBO drama The Wire.
