The Johns Hopkins Spring Fair is a three-day festival celebrated during the month of April at the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University. The 2008 dates are April 25 through April 27.

The Fair is a non-profit student run organization and was first organized in 1971. An important event in the Baltimore area, it averages more over a hundred food and crafts vendors, thirty-five major non-profit vendors, thirty student group booths, more than 20 performers and an average attendance of over 25,000 people.

In the spring of 2008, The Johns Hopkins University will host its 37th annual Spring Fair. From Friday, April 25th through Sunday, April 27th, the sights, sounds, and smells of Fair will transform the University into a fun filled atmosphere for all ages. Spring Fair, a non-profit student run organization, is a highly anticipated event for the University and the Baltimore-DC community. Each year, vendors flock to Johns Hopkins University’s Homewood Campus for the three day event to sell their wares and promote their organizations. Spring Fair also offers daytime and nighttime entertainment which appeals to a wide range of ages and a variety of interests. Along with these events, Spring Fair also hosts an assortment of carnival games and rides. Visitors can choose to participate in a wide range of activities, such as contests of pie-eating, photography, and karaoke.

  • The Beer Garden. In the Johns Hopkins President’s Garden, student groups fundraise by distributing beer as live music plays. Various games and contests are also located in the Beer Garden.
  • Friday Night Concert Event. The concert features nationally recognized musical artists. Past artists have included Brand New and Common.
  • Fair Food. Every patron of The Johns Hopkins Spring Fair can look back with fond memories of his or her favorite Fair food. The wide variety of locally and nationally renowned vendors is sure to please even the pickiest eater. Recent favorites have ranged from classic carnival funnel cakes and kettle corn to exotic ethnic choices like Jamaican Jerk chicken and Thai stir-fry.
  • Arts & Crafts Vendors. The arts & crafts show is the most varied part of The Johns Hopkins Spring Fair.
  • Non-Profit Vendors. Spring Fair’s non-profit section offers a diverse group of local and state-wide organizations with interests ranging from politics to massage therapy to health education.
  • Children's Section. The large children’s section at Spring Fair promotes literacy and allows children to step into their favorite stories through interactive games and contests.
