[edit] Skid Row
In 1999 the remaining members of Skid Row decided to reform the band. Sabo, Bolan and Hill hired Texas singer Johnny Solinger to be the new lead vocalist. In 2000 the newly reformed Skid Row landed the coveted opening slot on the Kiss "Farewell Tour". The band has been touring ever since with the likes of Vince Neil, Telsa, Quiet Riot, and Poison. In 2005, Johnny sang for the United States armed forces in Korea.
[edit] Country
Johnny's country roots are squarely planted back in the Lone Star state after a brief hiatus. He recorded several country tunes during his time in Detroit with one of them being “Hank Williams (is in my car)”. When he recorded Revolutions Per Minute he got country-soaked tune named "You Lie" on the album. Johnny has said "Aside from Skid Row, I've been recording some country tunes as well (hell, I AM from Texas) , and while it might seem odd to have such drastic tastes in music, it seems perfectly natural to me."[1] Currently, Johnny has rerecorded “Hank Williams (is in my car)” in Austin, Texas along with a few others that will complete his debut solo album. Johnny Solinger has recently announced his country album will be released on May 6th. The single "Too Well to Go to Work" has been released on iTunes.
