Johnny Renando Ruffing (born July 29, 1971 in Butler, Alabama) is a retired Major League Baseball pitcher. He played during six seasons at the major league level for the Cincinnati Reds, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Florida Marlins. He was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 4th round of the of the 1988 amateur draft. Ruffing played his first professional season with their Rookie league Gulf Coast White Sox in 1988, and his last with the independent Atlantic League's Pennsylvania Road Warriors in 2004. He played his last affiliated season for Cincinnati's Triple-A Louisville Bats in 2002.
