Johnny Richter born in the 1970s as Tim McNutt in Placentia, CA, is a member of the rap group Kottonmouth Kings. He is also a member of the Subnoize Souljaz and Kingspade.
[edit] Early life
During Richter's childhood he was transferred through six different schools and placed in rehab twice. When he was sixteen he was put in a bootcamp for less than a month. He makes references to his troubled past on the album Kottonmouth Kings No.7 in the song "P-Town". Throughout his childhood he was also friends with his now fellow bandmate D-Loc (aka Dustin Miller; "Shakey Bones"). Being a fan of classic rock groups (like the Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, and Jimi Hendrix), this hardcore stoner grew up singing along with anthems from the 60s and 70s while also being a fan of music from his own era. Switching from Run DMC to Tom Petty... From Public Enemy to the Beastie Boys, Santana, Janis Joplin..; this mixture and diversity made for an unlimited spectrum of styles from the young MC.
