John Jeter (born October 24, 1944, in Shreveport, Louisiana) was a Major League Baseball outfielder. Jeter is an alumnus of Grambling State University. He is the father of former Major League Baseball outfielder Shawn Jeter.
Signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates as an amateur free agent in 1964, Jeter would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 14, 1969, and appear in his final game on September 14, 1974.
