John of Fintona

John of Fintona, fl. late 13th century.

Called "subxitillissimus canonum doctor/a most subtle teacher of canon law", John was the compiler of a fine commentry on decretals.

It is possible that he was a native of Fintona, County Tyrone, Ireland.
