John Wilson (Golden Raspberry)

John Wilson (born 1954) is an American copywriter and publicist. He is best known as the founder of the Golden Raspberry Awards (also known as the Razzies), which are held annually on the evening before the Academy Awards to distribute irreverent awards for perceived poor acting and filmmaking.

Wilson is married and has one son named Parker. Wilson appeared as a contestant on Merv Griffin's Crosswords on October 22, 2007, but failed to win the game.
