John William Greene

John William Greene (3 September 1876, Cardiff, Wales - 7 October 1959, Brisbane, Australia) was the Lord Mayor of Brisbane from 1931 to 1934.

He was a builder by trade, and built Moreton Bay College for his sister (?) Alice Jane Alison Greene. He fought and was seriously wounded as an artilleryman and tanker during the First World War.

He was the mayor of Wynnum before the 1925 amalgamation.
