John William Foster

John William Foster of Rosy Park was a volunteer[1] who was elected member to the Irish House of Commons for the constituency of Dunleer, in County Louth 1783.

He is son of John Foster of Dunleer, MP for Dunleer and Elizabeth, nee Fortescue[2].

He married 1788, Rebecca, only child of Hamilton McClure,. Esq., of Dublin, and died 1809[3].

He is ancestor of the Foster family of Ballymascanlon.[2].
