John Veldman

John Fitzgerald Veldman (born February 24, 1968 in Paramaribo, Suriname) is a former Dutch football player in the defender role. Started his professional career for PSV Eindhoven, and then moved on to Willem II, Sparta Rotterdam, AFC Ajax, Vitesse and RBC Roosendaal.
In the Eredivisie Veldman played 297 matches, from 1986 to 2001. For the Netherlands national football team he was in the roster for Euro 1996.
