John Valone

John Valone was born (1951) in Chicago, Illinois, grew up in the Little Flower Parish of Chicago, a graduate of Little Flower High School and currently resides in Monee, Illinois. John Valone is an American Labor Leader, who has been President of Elevator Constructors Local 2 since 2004 and is Chairman of the Elevator Constructors Local 2 PAC Fund. His name has surfaced in court documents on March 8, 2008 in the Tony Rezko Federal Corruption Trial. [1][2]

[edit] PAC Fund Donation to Blagojevich through Rezko in Court Documents

On March 8, 2008 a ten page document surfaced on the Department of Justice Website as evidence in the Tony Rezko Federal Corruption trial. According to the document, John Valone's name surfaces at the bottom of page 2 "Rezko Donation Chart June 2001 to August 2004", it references the July 23, 2003; $10,000 Elevator Constructors Local 2 PAC fund contribution that went through Tony Rezko on July 24, 2003 and was deposited into Blagojevich's coffers on July 25, 2003. CBS 2 Chicago reported on March 4, 2008; that among the issues expected to come up at the Rezko Federal Corruption Trial is Blagojevich's 2003 appointment of a campaign donor to a state safety board. The Associated Press broke a story on March 3, 2008 that Union Officers from the Elevator Constructors received three appointments to the Illinois Elevator Safety Board in the same month the Elevator Constructors Local 2 PAC Fund donated $10,000 to Governor Rod Blagojevich's campaign in July 2003.
