John Toro Rendon

John Toro Rendon (born April 4, 1958) is a retired Colombian football referee. He is known for having refereed one match in the 1998 FIFA World Cup in France. The match was between Denmark and South Africa during which he handed out seven yellow cards and three reds, most of which were widely regarded as without merit. The sending off of two Danish players was considered especially egregious and was most likely the reason he was never selected to referee in a World Cup again.
