John Thewlis junior

John Thewlis junior was a first class cricketer who played 3 matches for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1876.
A right handed batsman, he scored 21 runs at 5.25 with a best of 10 against Marylebone Cricket Club. His right arm round arm bowling was not used in the first class game. He was born on September 21, 1850 in Lascelles Hall, Huddersfield, Yorkshire, where he died on August 9, 1901. He came from a considerable cricketing family, his cousin Ephraim Lockwood played 328 first class games and was a Yorkshire stalwart for many years, and his uncle John Thewlis played over 50 games for the county.
