John Terris

John James Terris (born 1939) was a New Zealand politician of the Labour Party.

He represented the electorate of Western Hutt in Parliament from 1978 to 1990, when he was defeated by Joy McLauchlan, one of a number of losses contributing to the fall of the Fourth Labour Government.

He was later the Mayor of Lower Hutt, from 1995 to 2004.
