John Taylor (1837-1909) was an American politician who served in the New Jersey Senate and the creator Taylor Ham. He was also the founder of Taylor Provisions Company and the Taylor Opera House in Trenton, New Jersey.[1] Taylor Street in Trenton is also named for him.
He helped to abolish the street markets of New Jersey, and served as the first president of the Inter-State Fair.
He is buried in Riverview Cemetery in Trenton.[2]
