John Stevenson Company

John Stevenson Company was a horsecar and carriage builder based in New York, New York in 1831 and folded in 1867 due to financial difficulty.

It re-emerged as the John Stevenson Company Limited of Linden, New Jersey and now building streetcars. The company was acquired by J. G. Brill and Company in 1904 and continued to operated under the JGS name until 1919 when the plant and corporation was liquidated.
