John Stackhouse (botanist)

John Stackhouse (1742 – November 22, 1819, Bath, Somerset[1]) was an English botanist.

He was the author of Nereis Britannica; or a Botanical Description of British Marine Plants, in Latin and English, accompanied with Drawings from Nature (1797).

The standard author abbreviation Stackh. is used to indicate this individual as the author when citing a botanical name.[2]
