John Spencer (boat designer)

John Spencer (1931-1996) was a New Zealand boat designer.

John Spencer [1] (d 1996) was born in Melbourne in 1931 and spent most of his life in New Zealand.[2]

He was a well known designer of sailing boats of all sizes, including the Cherub, Javelin (NZ) [3] and Flying Ant classes of sailing dinghies.
