John Russell (born 18 of May 1985 in Galway) is a professional footballer. Russell plays for Galway United F.C. in the FAI Premier Division.
Russell won numerous underage league and cup medals with Salthill Devon and captained his secondary school to the Connacht Senior Cup.
He weighs 72kg (11st 5lbs / 159lbs) and is 5’7” / 1.70m tall. He has been capped by Ireland at several levels. These include Ireland U18, U19 and U21 B level.
