John Roycroft (kickboxer)

John Roycroft (born June 29, 1954) is a champion full contact mixed martial arts kickboxer with a record of 30 wins and 4 losses.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia at the Ft McPherson military base, John began his martial arts training in New York at age 13 while living at the Seneca Army Depot learning a military style of Karate under the teachings of Sgt Barry Write who studied Savate at the University of Paris. John would go on to learn Muay Thai, Savate, and Bruce Lee's form of Jun Fan Jeet Kune Do which would become his primary fighting style. He retired from competitive fighting in 1999 after defeating Carlos Sanchos with a third round TKO to win the NKBA championship. Some of his sparring opponents have been Jerry Potete and Dan Inosanto. John is a member of the World Jeet Kune Do Federation[1]
