John Rea (born December 5, 1951) is a retired Scottish snooker player.
The highlight of Rea's career came in the 1989 Scottish Professional Championships when he beat Murdo McLeod to become the Scottish champion.
On February 18, 1989 he scored a maximum 147 break in a match against Ian Black in the Scottish Professional Championship, becoming the first Scot ever to achieve this feat.
