From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
John C. Rayson (b. March 29, 1949, Oak Park, Illinois) is a Broward County, Florida attorney. He served as the mayor of Pompano Beach, Florida from 2004 to 2007. Prior to becoming mayor, Rayson served as a member of the Florida House of Representatives from 1990-2000.
He is married to Kathy Rayson and has four children, Jessica, Chloe, Robert and Bradley. Chloe is a notable artist whose work "explores how the specific, distinctive landscape of southeastern Florida is constructed and displayed in a way that softens and conceals the undesirable or less manageable areas in favor of a more calculated place. These works of photography and video present a critical view of an obsessive society that has chosen to conquer, distort, and represent the environment in a beautified, homogenized way."[1]
He unsuccessfully sought election as a Broward County, Florida circuit judge. ([2]).
On July 26, 2007, he was selected as Davie, Florida's town attorney.[3]
