John Rankin (born 27 June 1983 in Bellshill) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Scottish Premier League club Hibernian.
Rankin, a central midfielder, began his career with Manchester United; however he did not make first team appearances. He joined Ross County in 2003 and made 100 appearances for the Scottish First Division club before moving to Inverness for a reported fee of £65,000. In January 2008, Rankin moved to Hibernian for a fee of £110,000.[1]
