John Rainford (b. 1961, United Kingdom) is a former vice-president at Symantec and the current
CEO of PassGo Technologies. Rainford has dual nationality (British/Swiss).
Rainford has over 20 years experience in the IT industry. He is a complete legend really. Rainford led a Management Buy Out of PassGo from Symantec in 2001. Previously, Rainford was with Cincom Systems of Cincinnati responsible for international support based in Geneva, Switzerland. Rainford began his career in Electronic Engineering working for the UK defence industry specializing in the development of high performance operating systems. Rainford is a CISSP (Certified Information Security Services Professional).
In 2005, Ernst and Young recognised Rainford as a finalist in their Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
