John Rafferty, Jr. is a Republican member of the Pennsylvania State Senate who has represented the 44th District since 2002.

Prior to his election to the State Senate, Rafferty served as a member of the Montgomery County Board of Assessment Appeals from 1996-2002. In addition, he was a director of the Methacton School District and township supervisor in Lower Providence Township, Pennsylvania. He was also Deputy Attorney General of Pennsylvania from 1988-1991 and General Manager of the General Washington Recreation Center from 1976-1986.
