John R. Cockcroft

Professor John R Cockcroft, great nephew of the Noble Prize winner John Cockcroft who split the atom. John R now works in the field of cardiology specifically looking into arterial stiffness and its effects on the heart. As well as investigating the effects it may have on other conditions e.g. osteoporosis, metabolic syndrome (the contentious syndrome) in relation to arterial stiffening.
He is a charismatic individual and headed Artery 6 last year in Athens. These conferences have been going for six years with more interest in each year, looking into causes and effects of the western world's leading killer, heart disease.
