John Timothy Power (born 14 February 1967 in Allerton, Liverpool) is an English singer-songwriter and former frontman of 90s rock band Cast. Prior to Cast, Power was the bass guitarist with The La's, who had success in 1990 with their hit single, "There She Goes", and their eponymous album which reached cult status.

After leaving The La's in 1993 to form Cast, with whom he sung, played guitar and wrote songs, after four albums and a string of successful singles, Cast split in 2002. Power went on to release a solo album, Happening For Love in 2003.

In 2005, it was known that The La's were reforming, with Power returning to his bass duties. It is then unknown whether he would pursue further solo projects, or be a member of The La's full time.

In October 2006 Power released an album entitled Willow She Weeps on the Tanuki Tanuki Limited record label, after the issue of the limited edition 7" vinyl single - "Jumpin Bean" b/w "Willow Weep".

On 28th January 2008, John released his third solo album Stormbreaker.

Unlike many musicians, John has shunned the celebrity/partying circuit (possibly due to Lee Mavers's decline into heroin addiction during the 1990s). He also likes to keep his private life private. However, it is known that he has been twice married, and has a daughter, Hannah, and a son, Finley-Jake, from his first marriage to Belinda Stone.
