John P. Cahill

John P. Cahill was the Secretary and Chief of Staff to New York Governor George E. Pataki and Development Chief of Lower Manhattan. Cahill advised the Governor on a wide array of critical policy issues. In 2005, the Governor announced that Cahill would be taking center stage to represent Albany in the WTC rebuild and in facilitating the project's forward momentum.

Prior to joining the Governor's staff in February 2001, Cahill spent more than five years with the Department of Environmental Conservation, including four as Commissioner.

Cahill received a bachelor's degree in Economics from Fordham University. He earned his law degree, as well as a master's degree in Environmental Law, from Pace University.

In December 2006, Pataki named him to a seven year term on the State Commission of Investigation.
