John Owoeri (born January 13, 1987 in Abuja) is a Nigerian soccer player, who plays a style of football that is very similar to his countrymen Tijani Babangida and Pius Ikedia but with a better crossing ability. He is 177 cm tall and weighs 62 kg. In 2005, he scored a goal for Nigeria in the FIFA World Youth Championship. He has played for NPA, Bendel Insurance FC, Feyenoord Rotterdam and K.V.C. Westerlo. Owoeri is currently with Enyimba of Aba and has been called in to camp ahead of Nigeria's final Olympic qualifier against South Africa.
