John Hugh Niland (born February 29, 1944 in Quincy, Massachusetts) was an American football offensive lineman in the National Football League from 1966 through 1975. He played college football at the University of Iowa. Niland was selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the fifth overal pick of the 1966 draft. He played guard for the Cowboys for nine seasons. One of the top offensive lineman of his era, and an excellent pulling guard, Niland was selected to six consecutive Pro Bowls and was an All Pro. Niland was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles in 1975. He played one season for the Eagles before retiring.
