John Newbold Camp

John Newbold Happy Camp (May 11, 1908 – September 27, 1987) was a U.S. Representative from Oklahoma.
Born in Enid, Oklahoma, Camp attended elementary and high schools in Blackwell, Douglas, and Waukomis, Oklahoma. He attended Phillips University, Enid, Oklahoma. He engaged in the business of banking. He served as president, Waukomis State Bank. He served as member of the State of Oklahoma Legislature from 1942 to 1962. He served as chairman of the Oklahoma State Board of Public Affairs from 1967 to 1968. He served as Republican Party precinct chairman of the Garfield County Young Republican chairman of the and Oklahoma committee member.
Camp was elected as a Republican to the Ninety-first and to the two succeeding Congresses (January 3, 1969-January 3, 1975). He was an unsuccessful candidate for reelection in 1974 to the Ninety-fourth Congress. He was a resident of Waukomis, Oklahoma, until his death in Enid, Oklahoma, on September 27, 1987. He was interred in Waukomis Cemetery.
