From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

John Edward Naylor was a first class cricketer who played one match for Yorkshire County Cricket Club in 1953, a year when he also appeared for the Second XI. His only game, against Somerset CCC at Headingley in the County Championship, saw him bowl 35 overs for 84 in the first innings and 7 more overs for just 4 runs in the second with his slow left arm orthodox spin. He failed to take a wicket although he did catch David Kitson off the bowling of Harry Halliday for 15. Len Hutton (178) and Willie Watson (168*) ensured the game ended in a draw.

He was born on December 11, 1930 in Thurcroft, Yorkshire and died June 27, 1996 in Bramhall, Stockport, Cheshire.
