John Murray Anderson's Almanac opened on December 10, 1953 at New York's Imperial Theatre, New York City, United States. The Broadway revue, which starred Harry Belafonte, Hermione Gingold, Polly Bergen, Orson Bean, Tina Louise, Monique Van Vooren, and Billy DeWolfe closed on June 26, 1954, after 229 performances.[1] The songwriting team of Richard Adler and Jerry Ross provided the majority of the songs for the show.[2]

- Harry Belafonte won the 1954 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical.
- In 1954, Orson Bean and Harry Belafonte each received Theatre World Awards for their outstanding performances.[3]
