John McCaffrey is a Hurling player for Dublin and Lucan Sarsfields. McCaffrey scored two points for Dublin which helped guide his team to victory against Westmeath in the 2006 Liam McCarthy Cup relegation final. The victory insured Dublins place in the 2007 Liam McCarthy Cup.[1] He won the Railway Cup with Leinster in 2006.[2]

John captained Dublin to victory in the 2005 Leinster Minor Hurling Championship.[3] John is the current captain of the Dublin Under 21 hurling team.[4] He won the Leinster Under-21 Hurling Championship with Dublin agaainst Offaly in July 2007. It was Dublins first Under-21 trophy since 1972.[5]
