John "Johnny the Watch" Matarazzo (b. 1937) is an Italian-American gangster and "made man" in the Genovese crime family, one of the most powerful Cosa Nostra families in the United States. Matarazzo was once known for being one of the biggest truck hijackers in Schenectady, New York. He is also the brother-in-law of Louis DeSorbo, another New York mafia figurehead. Though suspected of multiple murders Matarazzo was never convicted of such a crime, yet he was convicted of loansharking, racketeering, and illegal gambling in the 1980s. Matarazzo was believed to be working in Florida as a soldier/acting-capo with a Genovese crew. He died on or about May 14, 2008.
