John Lowe (?-1995) was a footballer and manager for Hamilton Academical.

[edit] Playing career

Lowe signed for Hamilton in August 1935 from Royal Albert. He made his debut in January 1936 against Airdrieonians in which he scored.

Lowe served with the RAF during the Second World War. Hamilton allowed Lowe to sign for Blackpool in 1940 as he was stationed there.

Lowe became Hamilton's Club Secretary in 1951 and was appointed Assistant Manager in 1953. He became manager in 1956 after replacing Jacky Cox. However, he resigned from the position in 1958.

Lowe ran a fruit merchants business in Hamilton. At the time of his death, on the 16th of August 1995, he was residing in Lochranza on the Isle of Arran.
