John Lee Buchanan

John Lee Buchanan was the second president of Virginia Tech (then Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College). Buchanan was a former president of Emory and Henry College. Buchanan accepted the position after several other candidates had turned it because of political turmoil at the time. [1]
