John Lamont (b. 15 April 1976) is a Scottish Conservative Party politician, and Member of the Scottish Parliament for Roxburgh and Berwickshire since 2007. He won the Parliamentary constituency of Roxburgh & Berwickshire in May 2007 with a swing of 9.4% from the Liberal Democrats. He is the Scottish Conservative Shadow Minister for Community Safety.
Lamont was educated at Kilwinning Academy and studied law at the University of Glasgow. He worked as a solicitor as well as becoming involved in local politics, becoming the chairman of his local Conservative association and was the Conservative candidate for Berwickshire, Roxburgh and Selkirk at the 2005 UK General Election.
