John Koch (1909-1978) is an American painter. One of his works is The Sculptor (1964), an oil on canvas painting. While his early impressionist work is certainly not without value, he is best known for his best work, which is his classicist, realist paintings of urban Manhattan. He has been called "far and away the greatest painter the twentieth century has produced."
